Rachel Waltrip LPC

Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Oklahoma. She works with adults and teens struggling with life transitions, trauma, and grief.  Rachel has worked in mental health since 2014 across various settings, including community outreach, crisis intervention, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and in an emergency department setting. Her work in the mental health field helps her meet her clients wherever they are when they seek treatment.

Rachel is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and incorporates this trauma-informed treatment to help her clients. She provides emotional support and guidance to her clients as they are going through significant life changes, confronting past trauma, or grieving a loss. She works to create a space where her clients can find within themselves the space and strength to process their pain.  Rachel believes that helping people confront their trauma and grief in a safe and compassionate space allows her clients to disengage from patterns of behavior that keep them stuck and harm their relationships.  Rachel is an easy-going person and quick-witted. Although Rachel does not shy away from difficult topics and emotions, she also knows that levity is an important part of the process. Her clients often share that they find her engaging and supportive of them.
