Laura James, LPC-S

Laura is a licensed counselor in the state of Oklahoma, with a Master of Science in Professional Counseling. Laura works with couples who are striving to have meaningful relationships and feel more fully present in their lives.  Laura helps her clients understand and accept themselves, so they are able to engage authentically in their relationships.  She creates a safe space that allows her clients to move through the process of therapy and create meaningful change in their lives.  Laura has certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and is trained in IFS (Internal Family Systems) which helps her clients work through past relational and attachment trauma.  She is also has advanced training and is seeking certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) which focuses on the emotional connection in relationships.

Laura is passionate about helping her clients develop meaningful relationships, because she knows how painful it is to feel misunderstood and disconnected.  She believes in her client’s ability to change and uses the tools she has learned to empower others.
